Our aims:

 

The creative English course is not just about learning a new language.

 

We seek to nurture the whole child by using artistic mediums, play and drama games.

 

We have developed a holistic program that addresses the child’s social-emotional learning, physical development, cognitive development through the acquisition of language learning and creativity.

 

We will engage the child in various experiential, creative hands-on activities and language techniques that strive to stimulate the imagination and playfulness of the child while learning.  

Acquisition of Language/Cognitive Development
Introducing basic conversational English language concepts and skills like learning new words and practicing basic dialogues. Developing confidence in communicating in another language and expressing some of their experiences, ideas, needs, choices and feelings in the English language with a native speaker. 

 

Creativity and Imagination
Stimulating overall creativity and imagination thru movement, music, dramatic play, sensory play and visual arts. By playing drama games and enacting a traditional story children will practice their new language skills in an engaging and creative way.

Physical Development
Increasing gross motor development with games that include large muscle activities like balancing, playing ball, jumping, dancing, and enacting characters and fine motor development by using their hands for drawing, painting, puppet making, clay manipulations, cutting and writing.  

Social-emotional Learning
Increasing emotional-intelligence by making new friends, being an active member of a group, the creative English community and through the process of making a drama play.
